Johan Juul Jensen is pursuing a masters degree Public Policy and Governance at Hertie School Of Governance in Berlin, and has a bachelor in International Development Studies from Roskilde University. He is the founder of Play It On and is responsible for the contact with Play It On’s partners in Uganda, a country Johan which have visited on several occasions. It is Johans close relation to Uganda and his passion for football that evolved Play It On from being a single donation of sports gear to an organisation.
Maja Felicia Falkentoft is pursuing a MSc in Security Risk Management at the University of Copenhagen, and has an obtained BSc International Development Studies from Roskilde University. She met Johan Juul Jensen through volunteer work, where they quickly discovered a mutual passion for both sports and development projects. Majas work in Play It On is mostly administrative.
Ulrik Aagaard Povlsen studies Sports at the University of Copenhagen. In 2014 Ulrik took part in Humanity in Action’s summer program where he met Johan Juul Jensen, who offered him to be part of Play It On. Apart from Play It On, Ulrik also works for the football club Nørrebro United in Copenhagen. Here Ulrik works on a project called ‘From the Gang to the Field’, wherein he helps youngsters find their way out of criminality by engaging in sports. Ulrik’s main responsibility in Play It On centers on reaching out to Danish football clubs in order to collect used sports gear.
Søren Stengaard Villumsen is studying journalism at the Danish School of Media and Journalism. He has been involved in sports for most of his life, both as a player and as a coach. Søren and Johan met back when they both played the same football team. When Play It On was founded it was thus only sensical to Johan that he should contact Søren in order to involve his competencies and love for football in the project. Søren is prime responsible for the external communication of Play It On.
